Salvacion Manganelli, Laboratory Medicine
Salvi came to Children’s Hospital 35 years ago to work as a technologist
in the CRC lab. She later transferred to the Endocrinology Lab and
then became part of the Core Lab staff when the Endocrine Lab was
absorbed by Lab Medicine. Salvi’s unique skills and willingness
to change helped make this transformation successful for all. Salvi
has become very knowledgeable about metabolic testing. She cares
about the patients whose samples she analyzes and works closely
with the physicians to confirm some difficult diagnoses. Salvi is
an example of dedication and caring for younger professionals, never
losing sight of the child behind the specimen. Besides her laboratory
skills, Salvi enjoys sharing her culinary and quilting skills. Salvi
is appreciated on many levels and we congratulate her for 35 years
of caring service.
