Gratitudes

The Crowder family attended the May 20th Boston Red Sox game as part of Tek's 33s, a program started by Jason Varitek and his wife, Karen, to give patients and their families the opportunity to meet the catcher and attend a game.

To the Department of Public Affairs:

We would like to thank you for giving our family the opportunity to be a part of Tek's 33s. When you have been to Children's Hospital Boston as frequently as we have, your whole family is affected, so having the chance to meet Jason Varitek was really special. It's not everyday that you can meet the captain of the World Series Champions! Jason was great with the kids. He focused on them and made them feel happy. My daughter Riley thinks he is a phenomenal person. We all had a lot of fun. This made our year! Thank you so much for thinking of us!

Best and thanks,
The Crowder Family
