The McDonough family |
Our son, Jack, had just turned 1 and needed your services for an issue he was having with his hip. During our few visits to Children's Hospital Boston, my wife and I were exposed to a whole new world. I can't tell you how grateful we suddenly were for Jack's overall health, as we realized that there are many, many children with much more severe problems than he had. As we sat in the waiting room, we couldn't believe our eyes; there were so many challenges facing the people sitting all around us. We were overwhelmed by the unconditional love and caring that was shown to them. Children who, as far as we could tell, had no reason to smile, were smiling and laughing. It became obvious to us that Children's gives hope to families who have lost all hope.
We know that keeping Children's running is not cheap, and although we don't have our time to give, we'd like to contribute to your efforts. We know $10 is not a lot of money, but we have been told that every little bit helps. What a wonderful feeling it is, knowing that help at the most wonderful place on earth is just a car ride away.
Sincerely,
John, Amy and Jack McDonough |
