Welcome to the Hauschka Laboratory, a cell biology lab within the Orthopaedic Surgery department at the Children's Hospital, Boston. We are affiliated with the Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Our primary goal is to improve skeletal health. Through our focus on the origins and interactions of bone forming osteoblasts and bone resorbing osteoclasts, we hope to discover essential regulatory processes at the cellular and molecular levels that are responsible for normal skeletal development and function. This new knowledge should serve as a foundation for future surgical and therapeutic approaches to skeletal disease.
